The short answer
Yes. Fanvil devices speak standard SIP and register to our Asterisk-based hosted PBX. 29 models are listed below with their exact status, plus the gotchas that actually cost people time. If your model is not on the list, it is very likely still fine — send us the number and we will confirm.
Fanvil earns its place on this list for two reasons. The X-series desk phones are among the cheapest standards-compliant handsets worth putting on a desk, which matters when you are adding an extension to a stockroom rather than an office. The i-series is more interesting: SIP door intercoms, weatherproof outdoor units and industrial phones that let the front door, the loading bay and the parking lot become extensions on the same system.

Ordinary SIP. We will provision it. We have not bench-tested this exact model, and we say so rather than pretending otherwise.
How we set them up
Standard SIP throughout, configured by web interface or auto-provisioning. The intercom units additionally need their relay behaviour set - which extension they call, what unlocks the door, and how long the strike stays open.
Gotchas worth knowing
These are the things that cost real hours when nobody warns you about them.
- The door units drive an electric strike through a relay. Wiring that relay to the door hardware is an electrical job on the client side; we configure the SIP behaviour, not the lock.
- Outdoor units need the right ingress rating for a Canadian winter. Check the IP and IK ratings against where it is actually being mounted before ordering.
- Fanvil firmware naming is inconsistent across regions. Confirm the exact model on the label rather than trusting the reseller listing.
Bringing existing Fanvil hardware to us
If you already own these, you almost certainly keep them. A handset that is not locked to another provider moves by changing three fields — SIP server, extension, password — which we do as part of setup. We do not sell handsets as a condition of service, we do not rent them to you, and we do not lock them. If you leave us later, the phones are yours and we release them.
Hosted PBX is $99 CAD a month for the phone system and up to 10 extensions, then $8.40 per extension after that. If you would rather own the server outright, we build on-premise systems from $1,500 and the hardware is yours.
