The short answer
Yes. Yealink devices speak standard SIP and register to our Asterisk-based hosted PBX. 27 models are listed below with their exact status, plus the gotchas that actually cost people time. If your model is not on the list, it is very likely still fine — send us the number and we will confirm.
Yealink is what we put on most desks, and what is sitting on the desks of the clinic and pharmacy we run today. The T5 series in particular has the combination that matters for a small office: a colour screen people can actually read, Gigabit pass-through so you do not need a second network drop per desk, and a web interface that exposes every SIP field rather than hiding it behind a provider lock.

We have this registered against our own Asterisk today.
Ordinary SIP. We will provision it. We have not bench-tested this exact model, and we say so rather than pretending otherwise.
Works only under a condition: particular firmware, an unlock from your current provider, or an adapter. Check with us before buying.
How we set them up
We provision Yealink by web interface for small counts and by auto-provisioning URL for larger ones. Three fields decide whether the phone registers: SIP server address, extension number and password. Everything else is preference.
Gotchas worth knowing
These are the things that cost real hours when nobody warns you about them.
- Server Expires is in SECONDS on the T5x (we set 120). If you are migrating from a Grandstream, note that the equivalent Grandstream field is in MINUTES - carrying the number across verbatim gives you a registration that expires 60 times too slowly or too quickly.
- The voicemail number and Server Expires fields are web-interface only on the T5 series. They do not appear anywhere in the on-screen menu tree, so a technician working from the handset keypad will not find them.
- Teams and Skype-branded MP-series units ship with Microsoft firmware. They can be converted to SIP firmware, but that is a deliberate reflash, not a settings change.
Bringing existing Yealink hardware to us
If you already own these, you almost certainly keep them. A handset that is not locked to another provider moves by changing three fields — SIP server, extension, password — which we do as part of setup. We do not sell handsets as a condition of service, we do not rent them to you, and we do not lock them. If you leave us later, the phones are yours and we release them.
Hosted PBX is $99 CAD a month for the phone system and up to 10 extensions, then $8.40 per extension after that. If you would rather own the server outright, we build on-premise systems from $1,500 and the hardware is yours.
