The short answer
If we built the phone server sitting in your building, licensing it costs $5 CAD per extension per month, or $10 with the AI and calendar features. Both exclude HST. There are no per-minute charges, because the lines and the numbers are yours - we are not carrying your calls, only running and supporting the software on top of them.

Licensing is sold with a server purchased from us and is not available for third-party systems. Hardware is a separate capital purchase, starting at $1,500 CAD.
Why we price per extension
A phone system costs us roughly what it costs to support the people using it. Ten desks generate ten people worth of moves, adds, changes and questions; ninety desks generate ninety. Pricing on extensions tracks that honestly, and it means a quiet month costs you less than a busy one only in the sense that you are not paying for capacity you never hired.
It also means we are not metering your calls. On a system like this the minutes belong to whoever sells you the lines, so charging you again for them would be selling you the same thing twice. If you double your call volume without hiring anybody, your licence does not move.
Two roles, and what each one can actually see
Admin is the whole system: every extension, call routing, business hours, trunks, recordings and the audit log. This is normally the owner, the office manager, or whoever handles IT. Admins can create and remove extensions, which is also what moves the monthly bill.
User is one extension - their own. They can set their voicemail and greeting, forwarding, and do-not-disturb, and see their own call history. They cannot see anyone else calls, cannot reach the routing, and cannot change what the business does with an incoming call. Most staff need exactly this and nothing more, and the people who have run a phone system before will recognise why the line is drawn there.
What this is not
This is not the AI receptionist. That product answers your outside callers on your behalf, and it is quoted separately - though it can sit in front of an on-site build exactly as it sits in front of a hosted one.
It is also not a licence you can buy for a box we did not build. We are not being precious about that; we simply cannot support software running on hardware and a dial plan we have never seen, and charging you monthly while pretending otherwise would be dishonest. If you have an existing system, ask us to audit it and we will tell you whether it is worth keeping.
How this compares to the alternatives
If you would rather not own or house a server at all, hosted PBX runs the same platform on our hardware for $99 CAD a month including ten extensions. If you want the hardware but have not bought it yet, start at on-premise builds. And the three-year cost comparison is the honest way to decide between them, because the cheapest option in month one is frequently not the cheapest option in year three.
Your phones work with it
On-site and hosted run the same open platform, so the device list does not change. Yealink, Grandstream, Poly, Snom, Fanvil, Cisco on MPP firmware, analogue adapters, DECT, door intercoms and paging speakers all register to an on-site build the same way. Check your model on the compatibility list.
